New Research Alert!
New draft! We combine U.S. foster care data with a dynamic matching model to study adoption. We uncover unintended consequences of adoption penalties: they disadvantage children with greater care needs and may discourage even high-quality foster matches from adoption. See the joint work with Diana MacDonald "A Dynamic Search and Matching Model of Foster Care: Theory and Evidence"
